Tonone often finds inspiration for its lamps in old or existing mechanical techniques. For the creation of Orbit, the design team looked at the techniques used in the world of sailing. Just like the rigging of a sailboat that holds the mast in place, the Orbit lamps stands firm, supported by three tensioned cables. This makes Orbit is a large floor lamp without appearing colossal.
The shade has been inspired by star navigation, which is reflected in our design of LED light source. The Orbit lamp with its smart design is elegant and unique and is delivered in a compact box. The Orbis is also available as a pendant.
