Hometour Voorburg
In Voorburg, this terraced house has been extended with a spacious four-meter addition. The extra living area feels like a natural continuation of the home and creates room for a new layout with three zones. At the back, you’ll find the bright living kitchen; in the center sits a practical middle zone filled with bespoke storage; and at the front, a cozy seating nook has been created. The entire design is by interior stylist Janneke Buijs – van der Weij of WIJ interior design.
The color palette blends sand and green tones, enriched with touches of terra, orange, and blue. This mix brings warmth and depth to the interior and connects seamlessly to the home’s calm base.

The kitchen
The XL kitchen forms the heart of the extension. The custom-made unit gains extra character from the Bridge 220 in lava orange, hanging elegantly above the island. The lamp’s color echoes the terra accents and adds a graphic note to the space. The extension also features a large shelving unit for personal items, storage, and play corners.
Workspace and seating area
In the green middle zone, a generous custom cabinet has been added with an integrated workspace framed in a warm oak niche. The Bolt wall sidefit small in flux green casts a soft, focused light, making the spot feel intimate yet functional. The green from the cabinetry flows onto the walls and ceiling, giving the central zone a calm, grounded mood.
At the front of the home, the seating area is lit by the Bolt 2arm floor long upperfit. Its slim shape and indirect light work beautifully with the room’s light tones. The Bolt10 Floor in Burgundy red with an orange cable also stands in this seating area, adding a playful accent that fits perfectly within the chosen palette.
