When remodelling this detached villa from the 1980s, we created a sustainable and timeless family home that seamlessly reflects the lifestyle of a family returning from several years in bustling Paris.

Our design vision is an interplay of various styles and materials, carefully considering functionality and sustainability. The result is a home that feels right, with elements chosen with love and attention. The design fits like a bespoke jacket, and is still relevant both now and 10 or 15 years from now.”

An entrance that welcoms you

The entrance is a powerful statement: an inviting space that not only welcomes but also surprises. The kitchen, the beating heart of the family, is designed as a bright, open space with stunning views over the moors. Here, we combine sleek modern design with natural materials. The kitchen island acts as a meeting place, surrounded by a cosy dining area with a built-in bench.The terrazzo floor offers a contemporary yet durable base.

Creating Privacy and Coherence

The en-suite doors separate the living room from the TV room and living kitchen, finished in warm oak. This not only ensures privacy, but also preserves sightlines throughout the house, contributing to an open and atmospheric ambience. The wooden doors give a friendly look and create a harmonious connection with the rest of the interior.

Atmospheric Living Room with Parisian Influences

In the living room, we aim for an atmospheric ambience with a touch of Parisian elegance. The combination of a herringbone floor and warm, light colours with classic elements creates a timeless yet personal feel. Opening pivot doors fitted with glass provide privacy and a sense of space, without compromising the view.

A luxury hotel suite for the parents

On the upper floor, a veritable hotel suite was created for the parents, complete with a generous bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. The bedroom, with cloud-like wallpaper, is beautifully lit by the clean lines of the Tonone Bolt lamp, creating a serene and dreamy atmosphere. In this design, we respected the villa's past and embraced its future. The result is a timeless family home that not only meets our clients' needs, but also provides a home that will grow with them.
