Back to the beginning: Milan 2014
The story of the Bolt Chandelier dates back to the design fair in Milan in 2014. Designer Anton de Groof presented the very first chandelier there and surprised the audience with a striking installation: a large tree constructed from Bolt arms. With this installation, Anton demonstrated how the Bolt, with its signature construction, could be applied in multiple ways. It captured the attention of visitors and marked the beginning of one of Tonone’s most recognizable collections.
The strength of Bolt
The Bolt series was born out of a fascination with traditional mechanics. The adjustable hinge construction and the distinctive wingnut not only form the functional core of the design but also give the lamp its characteristic industrial look. This principle remains at the heart of every lamp in the series to this day.
