Project | Theater De Kattendans
The Kattendans is a theater that draws well-known artists. Architect Peer Bedaux designed the building in the early 1990s. In 2022, the entire project was renovated. While retaining the characteristic planes and lines of De Stijl, Diederendirrix gave the building a new and more spacious look. TES took care of the total installation technology. De Kattendans consists of a theater, foyer and several multifunctional rooms used by local associations.

Ambiance
De Kattendans in Bergeijk likes to introduce you to the special world of theater. They offer the perfect ambiance for a relaxing afternoon or evening out for both young and old. Where better to enjoy an afternoon or evening out than at the theater? Every season they treat you to a unique and varied theater program full of music, drama, cabaret and dance, among other things. Afterwards you can enter the foyer for a snack and a drink.
Sculptural character
Diederendirrix has given the building a new and more spacious look. A number of new volumes have been added to the stacked blocks without disturbing the composition. The crumbling stucco layer on the facade has given way to a new white skin of undulating steel profiles. When it gets dark outside, interior lighting makes the windows visible behind the perforated facade. The cladding is draped over the building like a curtain. Despite the expansion, the building looks more nimble than before.
